Une nouvelle collaboration entre FluxEXPLORERTM Microvascular imaging, la Fondation GEBERT RÜF STIFTUNG, les Services de chirurgie plastique et reconstructive du CHUV, l'INSELSPITAL de Berne et notre Service clinique (Prof. François Spertini), est en cours. Son chef de projet est le Dr. Alexandre Serov.

The aim of this 15 month technology-transfer project is to explore the potential of a new medical imaging technology for applications in routine medical diagnosis of different health disorders. New technology is developed for assessing blood microcirculation in skin. The imaging system, FluxEXPLORER (251 Ko), generates high-resolution and high-definition blood-flow images in real-time in non-invasive and non-contact manner. The new imaging technology is tested for the following medical applications:
| 1. | Plastic and reconstructive surgery: | |
| 1.1. Tissue blood flow assessment for planning the surgical operation. | ||
| 1.2. Tissue reperfusion monitoring during and after flaps and grafts transplantation. | ||
| 1.3. Burns depth assessment for surgical operation planning. | ||
| 2. | Prick and patch testing for allergy assessment and skin irritation scoring. | |
| 3. | Raynaud’s phenomena diagnosis and treatment monitoring. |
This project is supported by the individual entrepreneurial grant, GRS-052/06, given to Dr. Serov by GEBERT RÜF STIFTUNG. The project is performed in collaboration with university hospitals in Switzerland, CHUV (Lausanne) and Inselspital (Bern).
