RESEARCH PROJECT TO STUDY THE ROLE OF SIgA IN MODULATING ALLERGIC TYPES OF IMMUNE RESPONSES

In this research project, we sought to establish in vivo and in vitro models to explore the mechanisms underlying allergic reactions, i.e. loss of epithelial permeability and antigen translocation, specific IgE production, cytokine and chemokine profiles known to trigger anaphylactic conditions.
